The Berti Research Lab at NDSU works to optimize management practices, variety selection, and environmental impacts of various crops, including camelina, alfalfa, sorghum, clover, sainfoin, among many more.

Focused on optimization of agricultural input use, strategies like intercropping to enhance land-use efficiency, and modelling techniques such as life cycle assessment make up the core of the work of the Berti Lab.

Led by Dr. Marisol Berti, an internationally renowned scientist in camelina and forages, members of the Berti Lab publish peer-reviewed articles, present at domestic and international conferences, and offer practical and sustainbale solutions to the scientific literature and farmers throughout the region.
